My Taboo is drilled like my first two Mission $250K, and it’s also the ball that comes closet in reaction. I’m sure I’ll be happy with my new Taboo.
The Taboo Jet Black goes a bit longer than the Mission $250K, but with a stronger backend. Even though this is still a very controllable ball and it’s a ball that will fit many bowlers, because it’s strong and can be used on both medium and long profiles.

The best Taboo to date!
The Taboo line has always been great fun to test for me, as each of the balls has been quite different when it comes to ball motion. They have all been a bit different from everything else in the market, which have been resulting in many victories of great players with these balls. However, I must admit that after a short amount of games, the ball motion changes for me and I haven’t used it as much afterwards.
The drilling of this ball (favorite layout) was thus with mixed emotions. So far, it has been truly amazing and again something that you are not able to see at the other brands. This ball is longer and stronger in the backend, and exceptional for when the lanes burns down. I was crazy about the Black Widow, and the Taboo Jet Black contain parts from this epic ball which makes that I can recognize some of the same ball motion.
NB: Remember to do maintenance of the ball regularly.

This ball is just fantastic. A ball motion that I have been missing a bit. Really clean thru the fronts and mids but still loads of hook.
I have been able to use this ball on many different patterns and I am impressed how versatile this ball is.
I shot 299 and 300 at this year’s Ballmaster Open with this ball and I am sure more to come……

It’s about time Hammer put out an all black solid ball! This third (4th if you count the Taboo Spare) installment in the Taboo is for me the most versatile. It has just the right amout of skid, midlane and backend to be useful on different patterns and angles. It reads the front part of the lane like the Pearl Taboo, it reads the midlane like the original Taboo and backends like a nice mix of the two first Taboos.

This is really something special. I have used this ball on many different patterns and it has worked out really good.
With this layout the ball reaction is early smooth arc but still a strong finish, it´s nothing you get out of a ball often.
Will be one given choice for the in the bag when I travel to tournaments.

Ball review:
Wauw! This ball has a reaction you don’t see very often. It’s early, but still continues in smoothly all the way to the pocket. For me it hooks in a long arc which I think is a very rare experience, between all the balls on the market.
I kept mine in box conditions, which is a fantastic surface. The ball polishes itself quickly, so if your bowling on longer and oily conditions, it’s a good idea to give it some fresh surface, every now and then.
Just like the Outburst, I use the Taboo a lot, on many different patterns. The Taboo is the strongest on freshly oiled lanes, I then usually goes to my Outburst when the Taboo is getting too strong.

I had great expectations to the Hammer Taboo, as it were used a lot under the WSOB (World Series of Bowling) in Las Vegas back in October 2010. It seemed like it rolled nicely for most players, just as all other Hammer bowling balls.
Even though I have not thrown a lot with it yet, it seems as a ball that are very useful from the very outside or inside of the lane. The relatively matte out of box finish makes it roll after the first third of the lane, but there are still plenty of energy left to make the pins fly as you want (or almost). That’s the reason why I have had a lot of 10-pins standing, and I would therefore prefer bowlers to use another drilling to this ball.
I think we will see more launches in the Taboo family as the well-known core and the new HD technology seems as a good combination!

Ball review:
This ball is something else. The Taboo is a little earlier and smoother than the Swagga which makes it more useful on the fresh. I liked how it reacted to release and speed changes. Normally when I use high mass bias cores I get one reaction shape regardless of my release changes. It’s like the reaction is build in the ball.
The Taboo allowed me to move really deep or go pretty straight from the outside. When I came round it at the bottom it would keep coming on the backend and if I went more up the back it would give a more hook/set reaction. That’s a big plus in my book. I expect to see a lot of these balls on the rack. This could be the must have ball of this season.
